I just got a question:
Didn't the same said she was a role model and that's why she broke up with youknowwho because there were little girls looking up to her? So how come suddently she is not a role model anymore?
That said said I don't agree with the parents either, the whole role model is tired. But she can't say that and in the same quote say "I can only be your/our voice", being the voice of a group is being a role model. She doesn't make sense whatsoever.

Being the voice of young girls in that subject doesn't mean that they have to do everything she does.
EXACTLY! I always laugh when somebody claims that "Rude Boy" and "S&M" glorify abuse. Sadly, this isn't the first time I've heard that. But then again, 99% of the time, it is a Gaga stan claiming that.
If we're going to call Rihanna out on making violent songs, the least we could do is point out the fact that "Fire Bomb" has Rihanna talking about how she would like to cause physical harm to somebody so they feel her pain. Or how "G4L" is glorifying gang murders. Or how in "Breakin' Dishes", Rihanna is murdering innocent cups and plates.
