During a recent interview that Wall Street Journal had with Gaga, Gaga said she thinks that digital music should be way cheaper than actually buying a physical copy! 99 Cents is great it made more ppl buy the album than actually downloading it illegally! What do you think?
i think so, anytime something like this comes up that prevents people from illegally downloading is good, it might even help the music industry in the long run

Yea, this might be the only thing that can stop ppl from downloading illegally
it wasnt actually 99cents. amazon made up the difference and had a huge loss. who would be willing to do this every time?
Amazon has done this many times before.... I remember when the last Pussycat Dolls album (I think that was it?) came out they sold it for the first 3 days for like $1.99. I've seen it done a few other times too.
I think it should be cheaper and to make it so, the record labels should sell it to online retailers at a discounted price. I just don't see why one should pay the same amount for (what is effectively) a collection of digital soundfiles as an actual album, in which one gets a CD, cover, lyrics booklet, etc. You cannot compare. Plus, £1 everytime I want to download one song?!

Usually a digital album is around the same price as a physical album. I would always choose the physical album - you get a physical item you can hold, liner notes and also you can resell the CD later on if you wish. With a digital album all you get is the songs and maybe a digital booklet.
How is that a fair deal?
