Why are their so many frustrated people in here? I thought this was the Britney thread where we discuss Britney, yet people are in here trying reassure themselves that Gaga's sales are somehow counterfeit. The charts are a game. They don't take all the outside opinion into account. It's strictly album sales, and yes, Gaga's album did break the record. I don't see where the issue is.

Most people here congratulated Gaga in her thread on the 1.1 million debut and fyi, she didn't break Britney's record. Oops sold 1.3 million its first week while BTW sold 1.1 million.

Do your research before trolling:
Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 1,108,000 million copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Additionally, Gaga is only the fifth woman to notch a million-plus week. The record frame for a woman is held by the bow of Britney Spears' "Oops! I Did It Again," which started with 1,319,000 upon its release in May of 2000.
