I think Beyonce is the best selling, if shes not then shes second to Madonna.

What are you talking about? Those are DVDs not ALBUMS. 100k is Platinum for a DVD.

Well I counted that as total sales and calling that albums is indeed incorrect. It should be a little more than 2M per item.

Beyonce is definitely one of the best selling females in terms of DVD!
But Britney has sold more.
Britney: 1,389,480 VHS/DVDs (without the missing sales from the Mexico Live VHS)
Beyonce: 936,000 DVDs
Madonna is above both combined, though. She has sold well over 3,000,000 in the USA alone (over 12 million WW).

Well considering a lot of those items were DVDs which brought the average down I don't think 2m per "item" is bad at all.

What about "Stages Three Days in Mexico"? Do we have figures for that one?
|
We haven't gotten anything in regards to "Stages" yet. It was one of my favorite DVD's.

But didn't you say 2M per album when counting the DVDs or was that just a typo?

Live and More! is the second home video released by pop singer Britney Spears, released on VHS on November 21, 2000
|
No it's a VHS tape that had performances of hers from SNL, Live in Hawaii, and some music videos.
I have all her DVD's and VHS tapes. I was just watching this one on Monday.

"Only?" She's actually at 1.8 million and her album was released in February. She has been doing 100k+ per week and will probably reach 3 million by years end and before anyone else, sans MAYBE GaGa, and that would depend on how GaGa holds up in the following weeks after her gigantic opening week. I don't see why Adele wouldn't hit 3 million.

Considering her debut sold like 13M which today is quite the accomplishment and was over a decade ago, 2M per item is still quite good.
