You can probably google it. But the majority of what they say is:
A). Their calendar ends on that date.
B). We are going to have linear set-up of the planets, causing the Sun to have a massive solar system.
C). The polar shift (which relates to point B).
If you watch 2012, the movie, they disregard the theory B because scientists only think electronics will get affected by the solar system and there won't be a huge fireball coming to Earth.
Instead they focus on the rotation of the polar axises. In the movie don't they say Minnesota is the center of the North Pole after the plates move?

I better stock up on clothes.
But I highly doubt California will fall into the ocean. But if you look at the Earthquake website, they are getting hammered with almost 1,000 Earthquakes up to 3.0 scale every week. It's kind of scary.
