Now that the 7th season has just finished, the question must be asked - what is your favorite Desperate Housewives season?
Season 1
Highlights: Mary Alice's suicide, Bree's struggle to save her marriage with Rex, Gaby trying to keep her affair with gardener John Rowland a secret from Carlos, Susan setting Edie's house on fire and their quarrels over Mike, Lynette taking ADD medication to cope with being a mother, Andrew Van de Kamp running down Juanita Solis, Paul Young murdering Martha Huber.
Season 2
Highlights: The Applewhites moving on to the lane, Gaby and Carlos dealing with the aftermath of her infidelity and trying to have a child, Bree becoming an alcoholic and her battle for control with her children, Lynette returns to work, Susan remarrying Karl for health insurance purposes, Edie setting Susan's home on fire, Felicia frames Paul for her own murder, Orson runs Mike down in the season finale.
Season 3
Highlights: Mike's in a coma, Susan finds a new love interest in Ian, Lynette gets shot down in a supermarket and discovers she has cancer later in the season, Tom opens up a pizzeria, Bree and Orson marry and Bree starts discovering Orson's many secrets, Bree's daughter Danielle is impregnated, Gaby and Carlos divorce and Gaby becomes involved with the mayor of Fairview, Carlos and Edie become an item, Susan and Mike marry in the season finale as well as Gaby and Victor, while Edie hangs herself.
Season 4
Highlights: Lynette fights off cancer while her mother moves in to support her, Susan and Mike adjust to married life as she discovers she's pregnant, Edie survives her false suicide attempt, a tornado hits Wisteria Lane, killing Ida Greenberg, Victor Lang, and blinding Carlos; Bree fakes pregnancy for her daughter's sake, Mike discovers Orson ran him down, Gaby and Carlos remarry, Susan gives birth to MJ, Katherine Mayfair moves onto the lane.
Season 5
Highlights: As the show takes a 5 year jump, many things change on the lane - Gaby has two children, Juanita and Celia, and struggles to maintain her lifestyle as Carlos remains blind following the events of Season 4's tornado. Bree and Katherine open a business together, while Bree's marriage to Orson begins to deteriorate. Edie marries Dave Williams, and discovers his many secrets as the season's mysteries unfold. Susan and Mike divorce following a car accident that took place during the 5 year jump. Mike and Katherine start seeing each other. Andrew gets married, while Lynette's child Porter becomes involved with his best friend's mother. Lynette and Tom are forced to close down Scavos', as she discovers she's pregnant again... with twins, again. Edie dies in a fatal accident toward the end of the season.
Season 6
Highlights: Mike and Susan remarry, as Katherine's jealousy starts becoming insanity. The Bolens move onto the lane, with suspect intentions. Bree further distances herself from Orson, as she initiates an adulterous relationship with Karl Mayer, which ends when a plane crashes onto Wisteria Lane, killing Karl and paralyzing Orson. Carlos' niece Ana moves in with the Solises, as Carlos regains his vision and becomes a high power executive for a Lynette starts work at. Susan's daughter is strangled in the season opener, leading to a season long mystery of The Fairview Strangler. Lynette gives birth in the season finale as the Fairview Strangler delivers the baby, while Orson and Bree split for good. Paul Young moves back onto the lane in the final moments of the season finale.
Season 7
Highlights: Susan struggles with "lower class living" after moving off the lane with Mike and MJ, and becomes involved with an internet sex site for some extra cash. Lynette and Tom's fighting escalates as the season progresses, and Tom gains a high power executive position at a Fortune 500 Company, putting further strain on the Scavo Marriage. Bree bounces between different boyfriends throughout the season, including Keith and Detective Chuck Vance. Paul Young unknowlingly marries Felicia's daughter Beth, in a plot by Felicia to get revenge on Paul for her sister Martha's murder. Gaby discovers her daughter Juanita was switched at birth, while her issues with her stepfather Alejandro come full circle. Carlos discovers Andrew is the one who ran his mother down in Season 1.
