Mariah is only releasing an album this year because it's her last on IDJ. She wants to get off of their label. So, it's a high chance that after this record, she'll go back to Sony.

Rainbow was released when Mariah was still the IT girl plus it was the prime time of album sales.
It would be tanked if released now. I wouldn't mind another Heartbreaker though

Among the pop girls nowaday, I think only a collaboration with Beyoncé is feasible.
