I’m truly saddened to report that Mia Amber Davis, Plus Size Model, Actress, Blogger, TV Producer and Creative Editor-at-Large for Plus Model Magazine has passed. No statement has yet to be released as to when, where, and why but there has been an out pour of emotions for this loss across the internet today. If you do not know Mia Amber’s name, I’m sure you know her face from the numerous ads from Ashley Stewart, being the face of Jill Scott’s Butterfly Bra, many TV appearances or from the movie Road Trip. Mia was a pioneer for African-American Plus Size Models and will never be forgotten by the Curvy Community
Now they can't complain about only skinny/anorexic models dying.
There better not be a double standard for this, it better be blamed on obesity by the media (if it gets some)
I find it funny that your assuming that her size is what killed her. First of all, we don't know how she died yet. It could have been an accident. Give me a break.

Are you crazy? Do you even know why she died? I really doubt it was for being overweight because altho being a plus size model, she looked pretty healthy.
Davis' agent believes her untimely death was caused by complications from her knee surgery, although an autopsy is expected this week.
The model's husband, Michael Yard, was in New York when she passed, and said he had spoken to her early Tuesday and said she seemed fine. Hours later, he learned of her death from Mia's cousin, who said the model began experiencing dizziness and was taken to the hospital where she died a short time later, the exact cause of death not yet known.
