In "Colombiana", Zoe Saldana plays a young woman who, after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota, grows up to be a stone-cold assassin. She works for her uncle as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target: the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.
From Luc Besson, the writer-producer-director of such films as La Femme Nikita, The Professional, and The Fifth Element, Colombiana is directed by Olivier Megaton who, as it was announced this week, will be directing Liam Neeson in the sequel to Taken.
Colombiana will unload its arsenal on audiences on September 2nd.
Damn, Zoe Saldana is a BAD ASS BITCH!
Relax. There are a lot of Crime movies that takes place in the USA, and a lot of that is fiction too. But people enjoying them. Remember this is Hollywood. Just that it sounds exotic that she is from Colombia as a character.

This is such a drastically different role for Zoe; I can't wait to see how she does.
She's looks like she does great in the trailer.
Zoe Saldana plays a vigilante "She goes from zero to 180 [mph] in two seconds," Saldana says of her role in the action thriller Colombiana (out Sept. 2). She plays Cataleya, a rash, unstable young woman who works as a hired gun while trying to track down the people who murdered her parents years ago in Bogata. "When she's happy, she's very happy, and when she's sad, she's profoundly sad," adds the Avatar star. "And when she's angry, you need to leave town, because she's that lethal." -Anthony Breznican
