I am not pro-terrorism. I do not believe that violence is the solution.
I just watched a powerful film about a girl who joins a terrorist organisation after seeing her parents being killed by the national Army. And as much as I am against terrorism, a part of me understood where she was coming from - to her, talks, negotiations don't really seem to get anybody anywhere. For some reason she believed that an act of terrorism was the only way to get the world to sit up and take notice of the plight of her community.
Has anybody felt that terrorists do have something to say, but just use a wrong approach (violence)?
I think that's quite similar to Bin Laden's perspective. He wanted to get rid of the United States and Israel which he saw as the biggest threat to the Muslim world.
No, terrorists are a bunch of mental egoistic assholes.
If that girl saw her parents getting killed, why, why would she ever do the same to other families?

Sometimes, it depends on what they're "fighting" for. In the case of Osama and al qaeda, absolutely not. Wanting the world to be a part of a pan-islamic state or perish is just as insane as the method used to achieve the "goal".
