Yeah, this video definitely looks like it was directed by
an amateur video director and a choreographer.
There are two main flaws with this video:
1. Far too much choreography was shown. Not necessary.
2. Gaga couldn't focus on one concept -- the major problem. I enjoyed the modernization of Jesus and the apostles, but of course, Stefani couldn't help herself but to dawn some Early Imperial Period wardrobe and end with a Gaga-esque style statement while being stoned, which is almost, if not completely, unrelated to what's going on, both in imagery and in concept -- don't worry, I'm sure Gaga will give you a "good reason" for why it is "artistically relevant" for her to resemble the sister of The Grudge, while being stoned... and you'll eat it right up, of course. Its a modern representation of the outfit below....Its not Imperial Period wardrobe Glad you devoted a huge chunk of your critique to that though....
The hair being both black and white to me represents the struggle between Judas and Jesus.
