Anywho, I'd be disappointed or find them dismal if my expectations were something outrageous like 150k-200k.

It's obvious that a one-off hit won't be enough to make the casual buyer support your album, but that doesn't mean 60k is "good." Let's be real here.

In J. Lo's case, she not only had a hit single, but she had weekly support from American Idol. That makes her numbers look even more dismal compared to someone like Nelly or Enrique, who didn't quite have that support.
