TTWE was never going to go #1 though. The highest it could have gone was probably Top 5 in it's debut had Jive not mucked up the iTunes release. This remix has actually made it more successful in that it will be a(nother) top 3 hit for her behind Gimme More and Circus. But the song simply never had enough points to top the chart.

I agree! This era has been absolutely boring. At least we had a lot of promo with Circus at the beginning before she went into hibernation after the release week. Britney is busy rehearsing for the summer tour right now, it's a month away.

She jumped too soon to tour and she won't promote any other singles a lá If U Seek Amy

I'd say the remix, it has a dubstep break, and more going for it overall. And I'm sure if there isn't a Britney fan in the class...then Ke$ha or Nicki could possibly be more to their liking.

BFB has grown on me tremendously. If they make the radio edit like 3:41 at most it could have at the least at Top 20 peak. But given the craze of BEP it could go Top 10 even without Britney promoting it. Plus it would go into heavy rotation on Fridays when they have their club mixes.

Most of the album was put together in late 2010. Britney didn't even meet Dr. Luke in person to record until very late 2010.

* The original concept for the album was apparently to include a lot of mid-tempos, and maybe something with a harder rock edge. This was apparently Britney's idea, and Jive even let her start recording some songs, but they didn't really like how it was turning out and wanted something more conventional/radio-friendly. (This could explain the lack of songwriting credits.)

*** UPDATE:*** Forgot to mention this -- Remember the writing camp? Apparently everything from that writing camp was eventually scrapped as the album switched gears toward the album's current incarnation. The album really was originally going to be released in late August but they felt uncomfortable with the album as it was and decided to go in a new direction. Remember when Darkchild said that Brit fans were going to be really happy in a few weeks? Of course he'd be the one to speak up: his material was more similar to the original vibe of the album. Personally I'm really glad that Jive scrapped that, if we were going to get an album full of songs like He About to Lose Me and Don't Keep Me Waiting...eh!

* Bloodshy and Avant are really ****ing expensive (around $250,000 a song).

* The conservatorship really has no effect on her recording career; it's really just about financial **** at this point. It doesn't affect her daily life much at all and so it's likely that she really doesn't give a ****.

* The main reason she doesn't promote like she used to? It's honestly her children.

* Part of the reason that she doesn't do intense dancing is because of insurance worries. She's blown her knee twice now in intense dancing sessions. That would explain why dancing in the House of Blues tour was better. As for why it isn't crisper: likely lack of rehearsals or possibly meds, but the source said he wasn't really sure. This is where he seemed to have the least amount of knowledge.
