This is the same case in Japan and Universal Japan has already confirmed its a simultaneous worldwide release, so those NL retailers must have made a mistake.
There are two albums:
'Eclipse' by Journey and 'Torches' by Foster the people;
which are #1 on the Walmart and Amazon pre-order charts respectively. They are both released on the same date as BTW. Are these hyped releases that could sell big, or are they just being pre-ordered by die-hard fans?
Also, will BTW and BTW (Special Edition) definitely chart as the same album? Like they won't pull another Fame/Fame Monster on us?

The same happened with The Fame Monster, it was available 3 days before the official release. I guess we'll see.

The Fame Monster was released 5 days before official release in Japan and Italy. It was also released 3 days before the official release in Australia,The Netherlands and Germany. But all the relevant sources say there will be no early release dates this time.
