"Yes, I can confirm I have played some hot guitar on a track for the excellent Lady Ga Ga!
Mutt Lange, the producer of the track, called me up and asked if I would play a solo ... then said ... well, you can play what you like !
So I got hold of it and did my thing. I think it's a stupendous track. It will shock some people because she sounds unlike the way she has done until now. It's a major passionate heartfelt blues/country/rock performance ... just the kind of thing I love to work off. It also has a subtle nod to We Will Rock You in there. It's well heavy - a song with a real story, and has the full weight of Mutt's production behind it.
The song made me think Queen the first time I heard it, I think it will be one of her best...obviously only for the people who aren't slaves to pop and can be open minded about other genres. No doubt some people will brush it off purely because it will be a big piano and stadium guitar ballad.
THE Brian May is on the track!?? The same guy that played guitar behind the greatest rock vocalist of all time!? I can't wait to hear this now!
First Clarence Clemons from the E Street Band and now Brian May. She's getting all the legends on her album! This also makes me think that BTW and Judas are going to be 2 of the worst tracks on the album
