It's totally radio friendly. It's like the teenybopper version of a Bruno Mars song mixed with Justin Bieber. It's easy to see why people like it. The tween girls are going to eat this up.
A Muse hit the nail on the head, this is very much a teenybopperfied version of a Bruno Mars song. I don't think this song will be the big break he needs, but I could see it becoming moderately popular and it will most certainly be a huge success with the Disney set.
My major complaint is that the chorus feels more like a pre-chorus than an actual chorus, and in that sense, it sounds like it's building to something really explosive... but that explosion never comes. When the verse kicks back in with that muffled beat, it's a bit underwhelming. I hate to suggest that someone should be doing another generic dance-pop confection, but I think the structure of the song lends itself to a housey interpretation and I totally wouldn't mind if the pumping drive of a thumping 4x4 kick were featured throughout.
Otherwise, he has quickly matured in less than a year since "iYiYi".
