GGGB had just been exhausted at that point that's why. I wanted Breakin' Dishes as the final release and they were going to but opted out for Rehab... *sighs*

The reason Rehab didn't perform well was because it was released a year and a half after the album came out. It was far too late to do any single at the point.
If they really wanted Rehab to be ultra successful, it would've been released before the rerelease.
However, the point of it was just for fans, and kind of a last effort to close the era. Disturbia was huge, so they wanted to capitalize off it somehow. And it worked - Rehab still hit Top 20 in most countries it was released it, Top 10 in some. What other 8th single has done better?
