note that most hese sales occurred at BMG Music Clubs, which were significantly popular in the 90's and early 00's. Nielsen SoundScan and RIAA doesn't count these sales in their certifications

janet. did not sell 10 million in the US and neither did it sell 20 million worldwide. I've head 20 million so many times but I really want to see receipts. It was big yes, but it's certifications put it near 13 million. It was certified EVERYWHERE - English albums sell less than 40,000 in minor markets.
Discipline did not sell a million copies around the world. It sold 450,000 in the US. Where did the 550,000 copies come from? It only sold 100,000 in Japan. It wasn't certified anywhere else.

Rhythm Nation - 12 million
janet. - 13 million
DOAD - 10 million
TVR - 10 million
AFY - 8 million
DJ - 2 million
20 Y.O + Disc. + The Best - 2.5 million
TOTAL ~ 66.5 million
So yes, 70 million sounds good.

Control, RN and janet. all sold more than that FOR SURE.
I'd say 80M albums.
Duca, she has definitely sold more than 40M singles, lol. She's sold over 30M in the US alone.
