Yes it is. Releasing a song that has the same sound as your previous global smash hit is a safe choice. An unsafe would be something which is different from her past work and from the music on the radio, like Born This Way.
Somewhat it is, but somewhat it isn't either, because if Bad Romance flopped... And yet this is more raw and ?strange? than anything else on the time, but does remind us of Bad Romance.
Unsafe Born This Way? Yet it was 6 weeks #1?! Seems like you have safe and un-safe turned around...
she needed a safe single choice after born this way! she needed to remind people that the "old gaga" that everyone misses is still there.. i'm sure she'll be taking more chances this coming era...
Agreed that it should have been released as a first single, it's infinitely stronger than born this way.
I was crushed that born this way didn't turn out to be the anthem of our generation , but I'm glad that several critics are calling Judas a "good club song" .

It could have spent 100 weeks at the top it still just passed (or didnt) Ke$has, Rihannas and Katy worse perfoming recent singles in sales.and likely to became one of her lowest selling single so far. So it was an unsafe decision.
