Why are people making such a big deal - over a cover? Hasn't anyone heard the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover." That goes for albums too.

The cover matters. It could affect sales and reception, no matter how badly people want to say "It's the music that counts." Furthermore, Gaga has always been conscience of and had great skill discerning how image affects everything, so that kind of logic just doesn't cut it.

Anyway, I love the cover, but more than ever, I don't think this is the real one.

In other news, Wikipedia took the Born This Way cover down because the doubt is so great.

True tea sis. It seems GaGa spoils us tew much cuz sum monsters r never happy. I think the album covers r both amazing n a lot better sum of the album covers I've seen but still if she had a picture of her ****ing a dude I still would buy cuz I'm here for the music n if the covers amazing which it is that's a huge plus as well.

Lol today my mom came home from her fiances and said she heard Judas n said she loved it tho said it n I showed the album cover n she loved it and said she looked good on it. I just can't at her staining as hard as me.

You saying that right there proves that the cover does matter.
It factors into the reception of the album to a certain extent and can help or limit it's success.
I still kind of think this album cover is already becoming iconic in a way, especially if it turns out to be a hoax.

Did I say that? No. But half of you on here are talking about how you're totally going to buy the special edition because the other album cover is so atrocious.

Furthermore, I do think it definitely can affect how people receive an album, especially Gaga's whose image is so crucial to how she is perceived and especially when she's trying to make this into some classic, timeless album of the decade.

I really don't care what the cover of the album looks like, I will still plan on buying the album on May 23, hopefully sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm concerned about the goodies inside not the album cover, she's not know for super hot sexy cover photos...It's simply the music, her fasion and the tour that everyone is after that.

Yeah it is cuz for awhile there it was getting to a point where she would never her but then I really took the time to explain to her what GaGa's really all about n I soon found her beginning to love/stan for her n we even went to the Monster Ball together which was ah-mazing!!! My one aunt also loves her cuz she pretty much loves anyone I do cuz she always wants to be my best friend n she is my fav aunt, my other aunt loves her as well but I can't stand her for many reasons and I won't even start on the last one.
