She was lip syncing to a pre-recorded track. It doesn't matter if something doesn't include heavy dancing, Britney will still lip sync. She even lip syncs the speaking parts of her songs.
What many performances do you speak of? The entire ABC special was lip synced. Even the "Jazz" medley. Britney wasn't even close to 'still' singing anything live in 2003. What's with this revisionist history Brit fans have been up to? Britney stopped singing live after 2000 altogether (unless it was a ballad).
