Well, they said it had some of her distinctive cadence. They were talking about the parts that she sung with the accent, like

I definitely see why they made the comparison, but it's just a similarity.

She's going to have to move faster than this if she wants the #1 debut. I don't really know what else they can do at this point, though. It simply doesn't have the exposure with the early release. At least next week will probably be a great sales week.

She does sounds somewhat like Rihanna in the verses, though I don't really know why she was going for it.

Things are clear now, there's no chance in hell this will debut at #1. It's slowing down. I just hope it goes #1 next week and have great longevity.

Telephone only has the album version, which is not a remix.
It's not the current formula of promoting adding a hot feature artist to your song and making that remix a single (á la Katy Perry) or releasing a surprise remix with a hot feature artist (á la Rihanna)
