In the case of S&M, the original song is the primary version that has built a foundation on radios.  The Britney remix isn't going to do much.  I'd say you're going to get the most help from the Britney fanbase, because her part certainly doesn't add anything to the song.  Rihanna's original sounds better on the radio than this remix.  With E.T., though Kanye's parts weren't very good, he added a sort of universal appeal to the song, something Britney doesn't.

 Idk, I feel like Rih stans will rebuy as well just to see it hit #1.  Plus did the E.T. remix get heavy urban play with Kanye on it?  I'm just curious b/c I didn't look that far into it.  I actually think Kanye's verse in the beginning makes the song though, no offense to any Katy stans
