Both are great artists. Beyoncé is more talented. Simple as that. To sum it up, what Lady Gaga can do, Beyoncé can do & even better, but what Beyoncé is capable to do on and off stage, I dont think Gaga could.
Singing: not only her comfort zone, but owning other genres (R&B, Pop, Pop/Rock, Alternative Rock, Ragga, Soul, Blues, Funk, Ballad, Accoustic, Country, Hip-Hop, Latin, Opera, Jazz, Scat, Ragga). Beyoncé can SANG, she can do highs & lows, and mostly runs. She constantly grow up vocally. Check among others 'Dangerously In Love' performance in 2005 at the DF Tour.
Performing: no need to detail, that's her main force, she can do Beyoncé & still pull off a Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Ella Fitzgerald, Anita Baker or Etta James kind of performance. She performed 5 times at the oscars. Also & with/for Sugarland, Tina Turner, Georges Michael, Prince, Bono, Stevie Wonder, Jay-z or Barbra Streisand, look again the artists mentionned and think about their genres, which other female singer can perform at ease with such different genres & do it well?
Dancing: Beyoncé is a natural born dancer. She set the bar for female artists who now dance in nothing else but heels. Single Ladies is the best female dance music video of all time and the list of its accomplishments goes on. She does effortlessly different types of routines & dances (ex: african, arabic or latin inspired, musical routine at the oscars, ragga, belly-dance...). I think it's safe to say she has established her own type and identity in terms of dancing. It's the more important, and you can blatantly tell when other female artists or people try to dance like her.
Songwriting & producing: Beyoncé partly writes & contribuates during the creative process of her songs, melodies, vocals, she touches all (ex: Halo's demo and her actual version). She knows exactly what she wants & adds her twist in her music, especially requesting live instrumentations in her songs and performances. In her own words, she creates her own genre because it's not typical pop, r&b or rock and you can definitely feel that during her shows. She is a 'Pop Ascap songwriter of the year' winner which is an achivement some people seem to forget. The only woman to have written three songs which went to number-one in the same year (2006) since Carole King did it in 1971 and Mariah Carey in 1991. In terms of credits, she is tied with Diane Warren at third with nine number-one singles.
Direction: Beyoncé directed 'Ego', produced, edited and co-directed the 'I Am World Tour'. I also want to point out that Beyoncé is the artist who brought back cinematography with a real plot in music videos. The 'If I Were A Boy' was her vision & was just overshadowed by SL.
Creativity: I think no artist is very creative enough nowadays and that's not their fault because everything has been done before, they just try to revive the past and receive major help. I think Beyoncé does an excellent job, especially for her videos and tours/performances. Deja Vu, Ring The Alarm, If I Were A Boy videos were greatly creative. Single Ladies was genious, just her imagining that the ancient Bob Fosse choreography could be amazing now, is visionnary, I mean, who was thinking that when they watched the 'Walk It Out' video? I love that she makes everything (old) contemporary for us to discover. Beyoncé also worked with Mugler, brilliant idea cause she now has iconic tour costumes.
Others: Beyoncé is also an actress (snatched a Golden Globe nomination for 'Best Actress'. She portrayed different characters, including a drug addict) & model. The ability of leading a group and making it the most successful of all time and still be able to be the standard for female artists today, new & old, if thats not talent... Finally the word 'Bootylicious' entered in the Oxford dictionnary, just saying...
Lady GaGa productions are quite nice but her songwriting is SO overrated, in fact the only good song lyrically speaking is Dance In The Dark. And Beyonce has the voice

They are both major artists and it is difficult to compare because they are both different. Compare beyoncé and Lady gaga is like comparing Diana Ross and Madonna. it makes no sense. They both have weaknesses. But in my opinion, Lady Gaga is better aristes as I think Prince and Freed Mercury even Madonna were better Michael Jackson Even If he dances better, has more hits, and sells more and he's more popular.
I prefer lady gaga because she gives me that rock vibe that every Legend to Elton John from Kurt Cubain gave me. She can be the Bitchie Pop Star Madonna was, She has the theatrical that make Mercury the Greatest of the Greats, On Stage her energy is Prince meets Madonna, Sha can be the dreamer that makes John Lennon the greatness spirit in Pop Music and a great songwriter.
Beyoncé on other hand is like a female Michael Jackson. And like Micheal Jackson. She's a great performer a show girl. That's all. i dont connect that much with her music, her show, her spirit. That's whats in my opinion she and her music miss.
I can't handle the Gaga fans inventing categories which have nothing to do with talent in order to make Gaga look better by comparison to Beyonce. It's obvious Gaga can't take on Beyonce in the singing and dancing department (two huge categories in regard to pure natural talent) and rather then just admit that it seems like they have to add irrelevant categories to try to make them equal or to try to spin it in Gaga's favor. The mature thing to do would be simply to admit that Gaga is short in those two categories. These two are clearly the top performers out right now, but I think it's fair to acknowledge that Beyonce is better. Give her, her due. She's been at it for years she deserves to be the top right now. Gaga just came out.
I'm not listing personality, utilization of social media, or acting because that is not musically relevant. I'm also not listing musical preferences (albums or singles) either because that isn't about natural talent. I also don't see what music videos have to do with talent unless you are talking about film direction, which isn't a musical talent regardless. Neither Gaga nor Beyonce seem to be great producers to me any way, if we take what has been given recently. Although I would give the edge to Beyonce simply because she has produced more.

Michael jackson was ahead kurt Coban and John Lennon in the 100 best artists of all time, so yes performing is the most important thing
Besides, the only thing GaGa is better at, is at producing good songs, and she doesn't produce them all by herself.

Lyrics are only one component of songwriting, composing (e.g., coming up with the melodies) is also part of it (the more important part, IMO).
That being said, this is a rather difficult choice. Beyonce is obviously the more talented performer, but I think Gaga is more talented when it comes to the musical creation process.
