Britney Spears Breathe On Me
Slinky, sexy, seductive, perfect. It's certainly Kylie-esque, but that's never a bad thing. I've always maintained that Britney is an incredibly savvy interpreter, but nowhere is she more at home than on sexually charged anthems. Nobody can out-orgasm Britney, not even veteran ****s like Madonna. With moans, groans and pants ruling every moment of this track, this is among Britney's most erotic works, yet the song never strays into that decidedly juvenile pop-my-puss-explicit-for the-sake-of-being-explicit territory in which so many pop song get lost. Lines like "Monogamy is the way to go," are very telling; this is the work of an adult. Never before was Britney this mature and aside from several subdued tracks ("Unusual You") she hasn't come close to this sort of maturity since. It's a beautiful, unexpected, moment in her discography. It's something I hope she explores further in the future. (4)
Kylie Minogue All the Lovers
One part call to the dancefloor, one part extended compliment to a current beau. It’s a mature disco number that I can’t actually ever imagine myself dancing to in any capacity, but it’s an enticing listen that’s made fantastic by a sweet (yet not overly cheesy) sentiment and Kylie’s ever-captivating baby doll vocals. There's something goosebump-inducing about the bridge. It's such a beautiful thing. (3)
Justin Timberlake Like I Love You
It's fine. It's fun. It's a good time. (2)
Gwen Stefani Yummy
It's fine. It's fun. It's a good time. (1)
