50 cent influenced so many rappers, mainly the hip hop culture, brought bridge, melodic bridges into hip hop, the way some of the rap records are written today are portion of his input, even flow cadence, I can go on and on, his achievements are enormous.
The song was a hit because of Chelsea Handler and Keenan Cahill. Jeremih's album sales had no help whatsoever from 50. And isn't that what matters most?
Of course 50 Cent has millions of side projects besides music that keep the money flowing on in massive amounts. That doesn't stop his music, specifically rap, career from being in an abysmal state. He did not make this song a hit. TBH I think people could give a damn he is on this song but that's just my opinion.
I think him being a force in other areas is irrelevant to this topic, though.
I know he's not stressing over having flopped albums, but he seems extremely cocky. How can a flop save another flop? He was being used as a rent-a-rapper. I seriously doubt that song would have been any less of a hit without him on it. How many hits has he been on lately? "Birthday Sex" was at least a hit a couple of years ago.
