By children do you mean Britney fans? They seem to be the only ones complaining about how they miss "the old Gaga". It's all such BS, they hate her now because she's actually a force in pop music & a big threat.

Incorporating a recurring stylistic motif that knowingly plays off the ability of repeated sounds to ingrain themselves in people's memories (i.e., making them catchy earworms) is not a sign of weak writing. It's a tool used for a specific reason, and it works.

Thats exactly why I think Gagas writing skills work, she is unique in that aspect... when you listen to a Gaga song you are looking for that signature Gaga chorus/Hook, yes its stutter frame ish but it works very well. Navin you might be confusing two different things, its ok if you don't like a song, but don't blame it on the stutter

She knows what clicks with people (the meat dress, the stuttering, choreography, etc.) In an interview, she said she has a "cultural intuition" and she "knows what's coming next." At first I thought she was being a cocky bitch...but it's sort of scary how true it is. She knows how to create these iconic moments that people never forget.

I can't believe the amount of coverage that got. I think even her obituary will have mention of it.

It really is remarkable how she has been able to harness the power of the media into establishing and rapidly expanding her own fame. I can't remember the last star who was as shrewd as she is in that regard. I don't think she gets enough credit for it.

She's so fearless with it. When she first began turning into a star, I thought she'd start toning it all down for fear of alienating the masses. And then I saw her wear even weirder outfits. And say even more off-putting (to the mainstream) things, like about the gays. And with every appearance, and every speech, she went further. It's been so jarring. I could not believe the Meat Dress. A lot of these things she does and says are potential career-enders. I wonder if one day, one of them will be.

So have I missed anything important in the last few hours.... other then the stutter fight.
