It has Tuesday - Monday for the Billboard chart which is 7, a full week
They were very wise not to release it on the Monday to capitalise digitally, because then it would debut on the Pop chart from one days airplay and on the Hot 100 from two

But what if it actually debuts with 1 day of Airplay? Well, at least it would have the biggest jump to #1, if it debuts below #97. :scary:

these records are so stupid.. especially the number one debut... like, if a song is so popular that it debuts even before released to itunes it's not as cool as if it's not popular enough to chart and then debuts at number one
Honestly I don't really care if it debuts at #1 or has the biggest jump to #1. I used to care, but TFM has zero #1s and it shat all over the pop world.
In fact everyone has been "disappointed" by the performance of her singles in one way or another since PF.
-After the massive 1-2 punch of JD and PF, LoveGame was a "flop" because it didn't do nearly as well (and WW it did underperform).
-Paparazzi was a "flop" b/c it failed to go Top 5 despite two huge, buzz-generating performances.
-BR was a "flop" because it was owned by Tik Tok and as a PF wannabe it didn't do as well, plus at first it didn't seem like such a long-term seller.
-Telephone was a "flop" because with Beyonce on the track it was expected to be a huge #1.
-Alejandro was a "flop" because it took forever to reach 2M.
-BTW is a "flop" because no one likes it and it's dropping on iTunes.
Singles success and chart positions are overrated.

I AGREE ! I care more about album sales than Single. But i do care about single positions though. I love #1's
