Poll: How long should it take for a new member to post a thread?

I recently invited a friend of mine to ATRL, taught him the basics of the site and also that you can do games (which is probably my favorite part about the site.) He wanted to make one but needed help, so we screenshared and then I noticed a problem that I didn't see before back in the days - your account on ATRL has to be 30 days old to start a thread. Before, anyone could post a thread as long as they were accepted into the site by a moderator.

In my personal opinion, I think that it should be a week - I understand why the mods changed it, but a month is a bit long. A week to roam around and get the basics down wouldn't be much harm.. and they should also get a private message once they register with like a little welcome letter and important threads and rules.

Just to add in, new members should have to go through a test where they have to send me ~~info about them +~~ nudes

I posted a thread like a week in so yea I think thats good.
I mean it takes about to week to get used to everything etc.. so that would make sense.
But 30 Days is waay too long!

I think a week is good.
By then one will know what is considered thread worthy and they'll learn the basics of the site.
A month is way too harsh. They could possibly have 1,000 posts by then. (not ideal for your real life...but i've seen it happen on various occasions...)

Honestly I didn't post anything until months later, although I signed up a couple months prior. I was at another forum, but some of these people here convinced me with their posts!

You guys are hilarious here so I knew I had to get in and join, but yea I say a week is good.
