I don't know if we've ever had a thread like this but I wanted to make it when I read this fact on wikipedia:

- Between "How You Remind Me" right at the beginning of 2002 and "You're Beautiful" in 2005, no non-urban singles (except American Idol ones) hit #1 on Billboard Hot 100

Post other interesting facts about the Music Industry or Charts, outrageous records, stuff like that. Or for example, what I'd like to see is old screenshots of popbars if you have any.

-Between "How You Remind Me" (2001) and "Makes Me Wonder" (2007) no other rock song hit #1 in that time.
-Boyz II Men's "End Of The Road" break the record weeks at #1 (13) held by Elvis Presley during 37 years then Whitney break it in a few months with IWALY (14) and in 1996 "One Sweet Day" spent 16 weeks and to this day it's the longest running #1 hit.
-The Beatles hold the record for most #1 hits among all artists (20) and Mariah is the female artist with most #1s (18)
