That's why she needs to sing live now because the lack of dancing doesn't justify the lipsync anymore. I'm sorry but I have to be honest.

That's not mod appropriate behavior. Report me.

It seems as though Britney has really lost her devouring drive & passion for dancing and performing. These performances are not acceptable, although I will say " 'Til The World End", at one moment it seemed as though Britney was going to take us there!

I didn't know that.

I don't get why people can't be negative without being labeled haters. I love Brit, but I'm not going to deny how disappointed I was by those performances. Were it another artist I wouldn't even think twice about writing them off as a load of crap.
The fact is Britney has to either focus on her singing or her dancing at this point, because she isn't doing either. Otherwise her performances have nothing to offer to the public. I'd still watch them because it's BRITNEY, regardless of whether I think they bomb or not, but others will either just disregard her or rip her apart.
Her fans can't live in their own little bubble where no one "hurts" them by pointing out her obvious shortcomings, or where anything she does is good enough. Or rather, they can, but they can't expect others too NOR can they attack others for calling her out.

They were still better than any perfomance during the Circus era
I'm not defending these perfomances but she's somehow improving

I don't find the article to be hateful, just accurate. Britney's music is getting better and better, but I find her dancing to be lackluster now. Whatever the reason for it, I don't care anymore. I still support her albums, but I probably won't be attending her tour this year. Still, I'm sure that many other Britney fans will and that it'll be a success. Good for her.

It's not the same when the stans demand better things about their fave than any other random person demanding something from someone they never follow...

Lol, yes. I did read "52" (her age) instead of 1958, but still, you first said "ten years into her career" and by that time Madonna was 34. Britney released her first single 13 years ago and she's not 30 yet. They had almost ten years of difference when they started their careers.
Btw, I didn't know Madonna released her first album the same year Britney was born.

Madonna was 31 when Like a Prayer was released. 1989 - 1958 = 31.

I intentionally omitted that can of worms. I can write a whole thesis about what you just said, TommyGun. It's not, technically, about age, it's about image. Within the boundaries of pop, Britney Spears still represents the youth of America. She has two kids, but is still seen as a child, herself. She maintains a youthful, vibrant appearance and doesn't strut in designer clothes out in public like Kim Kardashian or other pop stars; she wears shorts and tanks, and puts her hair in a ponytail, just like every other girl -- and that's who she represents. So, I agree, it will be slightly more difficult for someone like Britney Spears to receive more critical acclaim based on how she presents herself (there's nothing wrong with how she presents herself, btw). On the other hand, we have Lady Gaga, who represents a certain kind of beauty, but doesn't represent any age. If you were to look at Lady Gaga for the first time, you'd think she was 35, because that's how she presents herself, with heavy makeup and an over-the-top sense of theater. You have Adele, 22, and Florence Welch, 24, who also represent an older generation, and present themselves in a more mature light, along with Lady Gaga, so, it's easier to garner critical attention for someone with that aesthetic, because critics themselves, are in their 30's, 40's, and beyond. That's just the way it is. *shrug*
Disclaimer: I'm not implying Adele or Florence + The Machine do not deliver great music.

As an American youth, I'll forgive you. This time only though.

Did I said otherwise? Madonna was 24 when her first single came out, ten years later she was 34. ( ) As simple as that.

Does anyone know what Britney did to Yahoo! to explain this irrational hate they have towards her? They trash literally everything she does. I for the most part get why other publications do it (NYT, BBC, CT, etc.) they are the "scholarly" publications who look down on pretty much everything that is popular and try to seem more wordly, and shun critical success for the most part. Britney will never get praise from those outlets because she is so hugely commercial and makes no claims to hide that. But Yahoo! ?
