You're shifting the focus in the wrong direction. You're right, there's nothing brave about a 13 year old girl getting a recording contract and doing a song, but that's not what I said made her brave... Fallacious reasoning isn't cute.

I'm all for a good debate, and I see where you're coming from, but your argument is founded in 100% resentment.
You say she's untalented, you say she's extremely lucky, you say she's not brave, but you haven't backed any of those up. You have one song to go by, and you neglect to take note of her responses to the comments she's received telling her to kill herself, and the decision to donate the proceeds of the song to the Japanese relief effort... or did you even know about that? Come on PopBoi... You're taking too much liberty in simplifying the matter at hand.
"Friday" has become about so much more than a "cheesy" song. It's a story about that "unlucky, untalented, 13 year old girl" you're mentioning. Who's to say Rebecca is deserving or not? Certainly not you, and certainly not me. Rebecca shot into the public eye, and regardless of the reasoning behind it, or how people feel about it, that doesn't change the truth.
