Mariah May Still Work On X-Factor?

From this week's People magazine, this is what Simon Cowell had to say about the potential judges for X-Factor.
People: Who is in the running to judge and mentor with you on X-Factor?
Simon: Paula Abdul. She has good taste in music, though you didn't always see that on TV. I also like Jessica Simpson. She knows what she's talking about; she's very into the mentoring side and is underrated as a singer. I think Cheryl Cole's personality would translate in America, and we'd love to work with L.A. Reid. After Mariah Carey has her babies, there might be a role for her during the live shows.
This morning when Nick Cannon and Perez Hilton were doing their usual call on 92.3 NOW, Nick told Perez that Simon came over to his house last week to talk to Mariah about X-Factor. He said she told Simon, because she has babies to raise and is working on music, she doesn't want to be a judge. But, she'd like to be involved with the show, so they are trying to work out her role.
Maybe whe will be an additional guest judge or sth.
