The fact is that France needs a cheaper reserve of oil and "liberating" Libya is the easiest way to get it.

Again, the resolution states that no ground invasion will occur. The military actions are only to protect the city of Benghazi and the civilians from the pro-Gadafi troups. Once Gadafi accept to stop his actions, all military actions by the UN will be stopped.

and that is the problem. No one can answer the question whether to interfere is the right decision. Whether to accept forein (but cruel) culture /religion or to intervene for human rights. No matter what, people are killed and that is the dilemma so i dont even dare to criticise a decision, we only know what is said and reported to the public but we do not know if this is the whole truth, if we really know enough to make a judgement!

It had to happen! The man was clearly out of line and barbaric for his orders of exterminating his own people. How could we not do anything, sitting by watching a cruel dictator torment the people he represents? CRAZY!!! As stated by a few members, this isn't an invasion and it is NOT just three countries that are contributing to the protection of Libya's civilians done so by military reinforcement.
