The dogs were rescued and currently taken into a shelter...

But I felt soooo sad cause watching this just reminded me how many more dogs are either dead, missing, injured or homeless after the earthquake and tsunami......

I have such a soft spot for animals. I don't even wanna watch the video...I'll get sad. I hope they're okay.

Don't worry it's not that sad. But I too don't like to watch a video of animals drowned by the tsunami . I don't think my heart can't take it...

Touching, and you're right. It's like after any natural disaster we forget about pets and any kind of mascots... I know that it is not as important as to save another person, but at least we should take care of them in this kind of situations.

I'm not sure but Japan is a rich nation and have a great sense of pride on their nationality, I doubt they'll let much external help coming inside their country... Most likely, they would only need manpower instead of financial help...

I wouldn't be able to drop everything and take a flight to Japan anyway. But it seriously does make me want to help out at local animal shelters. It's not that I don't care about when a human would be injured, but I feel 10 times worse when it's an animal.

Some people forget that animals do have feelings. Did you hear about that Elephant that ate some humans because they accidentally killed her baby. I don't blame the elephant.

Exactly. I get so sad whenever I think of all the animals (not just pets) that must be so scared, confused, lost and sad.

As a dog owner and lover I am deeply emotionally invested in this. It makes me sad. :/

I can take watching videos of dead humans or humans who are hurting, but I can't take watching videos of animals in pain or dead animals
