They count USA sales, but why do tracks sometimes not equal the amount they sold in the US, like Till The World Ends.
They are not number of units sold, they are points accumulated. It's a system that incorporates a ratio of both singles sales and airplay. The number of singles sold is almost always more than the number of points accumulated.

It works on a system based on points. It's not like the BBHot100, where sales and airplay are added together; you get points based on sales and airplay.
3. S&M = 1,122,000 Points (NEW PEAK)
22. Who's That Chick? = 2,011,000 Points
24. What's My Name? = 4,021,000 Points
26. Only Girl (In The World) = 7,096,000 Points (All Time Chart #130 - Up 9 Spots)
But that point system is stupid.
So there is baisically no way to really know how much a single sold in total WorldWide right?
There are usually estimations that float around based on available digital sales data from the major markets. For instance, one of the better trackers over at UKMIX estimates that Born This Way has sold 2.5m worldwide so far.
For official numbers, IFPI releases an annual report of worldwide best sellers.

Like if Only Girl is at 7 million, if they just did sales, it would probably be around 10 million.
Not necessary. Sure, sales are usually seen as lower for higher charting songs, but when sales drop the majority of points come from airplay. There really isn't a way of knowing how much a single has sold. I don't think OG would be at 10M though.

I don't believe the IFPI numbers though. No way Tik Tok sold 13M in a year...
