We just recieved our 2011 census through the post. My step dads will fill it in. I just looked through all those questions. £1,000 fine if we don't fill it in I know you americans had one last year.
A census is designed to find out how many people live under one roof, how many people are married, how much money you earn, etc.
Basically everything becomes a statistic.
This. There's also all the stuff to do with religion. It annoys me that many people, rather than selecting 'no religion', select 'Jedi' instead. At the last census it was the 4th largest religion in the UK...
