I don't think Rise Against can get it. Their last album opened with 65K in 2008, I think Adele will still be selling really well. So my bet is on her getting and/or keeping #1 that week.

OMG, I swear I've been the only advocate for "Someday" here. It could be HUGE. Stadium crowd pleaser. 
"Whenever" on the other hand, IDK. Fergie's voice is annoying on that to me. Sad considering she's limited on the album. "The Situation" & "Phenomenon" are two of my follow faves after "Someday", and she's excellent on them both. |
Someday is one of the most single ready songs on the album (minus the absence of a sufficient amount of Fergie, however)
I think that we have learned a huge lesson from this album. While it is good, Fergie is what sells the group the most. And will.i.am sucks.
