Call me naive all you want, but it's extremely stupid to kill yourself over problems whom most of them can be solved or be improved. It's only a matter of time, and it doesn't matter in how much problems you are; suicide will never ever be a solution. You basically scream: ''I'm an ungrateful bastard,'', because why would you throw life away that God has given us? Why would you do such thing, if there are always people here for you, and may have the ability to help you. No matter if you don't have any friends, or a family, there are tons of social-workers who are here to help you to get out of the **** you're in.
Ultimately it's you who decides though, all I'm saying is that suicide is not a solution in any sort of way.
Also, I also believe God has planned our lives, but not in a certain way that He ''decided'' you would commit suicide once. Why would He do such thing? Obviously He has given us a chance of living, to experiment in life, make something out of it; yet stay true to Him, following the rules. These things would and should obviously lead to a great life. It's you who controls your life, it's you who causes things to the way they are, not God's. And again, no matter how your life has planned out the way it is now, in all those problems, suicide will not make it any better. In the end, it's you and your environment causing to be in such depressive position and it's also you who can get out of it again and enjoy life.
A lot of things can be repented. God's merciful and he forgives, but suicide crosses lines in many ways. Even if we all die once, we should make something out of our lives. You are throwing life away while other human-beings have it way worse, living in poverty, surrounded by fights and wars, having nothing to buy etcetera.
That's just my two cents though.

Yep, God gave free-will to the humans, we decide how we make our lives and destiny.
I hope this doesn't turn into christians vs. atheist because that's not the subject.

I understand those questioning God's existance, and I can't explain it either, but I think we HAD to be created by a divine creature or being. Things DON'T pop out of nowhere, that being said, I believe in God, as where did He come from? I can't answer that, and I don't think no one can, only Him. Not everything can be answered. Back on topic though:
Suicide IS a sin. And I do think and know God has a plan for each and everyone of us, WE are the ones who screw it up.
He gives us the choice to decide if we want to follow what He wants for us or we could choose another path. He's not gonna point a gun at us and MAKE us decide to take His path. I think He will give us signs though and make us see a way or another what He wants for us, but in the end it's our choice, not His.

You're gonna die anyway, why not speed up the process if you want to?

I don't believe in sin. If you do then yes it is as you are told not to kill, but as it is taught that no one sin is greater than another, it's no worse than telling a lie...

To be honest I don't personally believe in a God but if I did I still wouldn't invest in ideas such as sin as if there is a God it's unlikely He is what any of the major religions say He is.
I think if there is a God then He is something completely beyond our comprehension and totally transcendent so there really isn't much point in worrying over sex before marriage, homosexuality etc. because at the end of the day, if there is a God then He will look at your ENTIRE life and judge if you are a good or a bad person. If this God is omni-benevolent He would not say "oh look, here's Susan, she spent her life caring for sick people, doing things for charity, going into war zones etc., what a nice person...but she once lied and told her friend she looked good in a dress when she didn't then didn't apologise to me for it. So bye bye Susan the sinner, enjoy Hell."
It could be argued that if God was all-loving there wouldn't be a Hell at all and that being Just and All-Loving are conflicting characteristics, but that's another debate...

Solu!
Yesterday I thought about making a thread about suicide...But I wanted to do a
"Could you imagine to commit suicide?"
or
"Did you ever thought about suicide?"
No sin. Everybody can decide for his own. When the person is happy with it...there's no problem.
