Why would you compare Janet's 2000s albums, which most Janet stans agree have been generally ******, to Rihanna's? Janet's current music gets bashed because critics compare it to what she used to do. Rihanna has no legendary back catalog to live up to, so of course critics are less, er, critical of her work.
