+ also, what does 'bridge' mean in a song, I know it's about the structure but I have never understood it. Anyone care to explain?

Bridge = Breakdown before last chorus. 'Real good, we dance' 'Marilyn, Judy...' 'Walk walk, fashion'...

I highly doubt they would use the same music for two different shows.

I am really surprised at the song's ability to cling on to the Nr. 1 spot on iTunes.

I'm not sure, 99% (pop) do I think. Sometimes the bridge can be mixed around though, in Telephone, the bridge comes before the 2nd verse.

Standard song structure includes a bridge, so I'd imagine all real songs do.

Yes, the typical pop song is arranged that way, but it isn't a "fake song" if it doesn't have a bridge. Biology, by Girls Aloud was held in critical acclaim and that song is as far from the general structure as possible. There are plenty of other examples.

Sorry for getting so worked up Analyzing songs is just one of my favorite things, so I want to make sure everybody knows what they're talking about.
