He didn't do anything to me; it's not my place to forgive or judge without knowing the real story.

Stop thinking with your hormones and think with your brain. He was wrong and he deserves everything that happening to him and his flop career. Rihanna could have died.

People have a skewed view of reality. If he wasn't famous he'd have been back at his job Monday morning, probably gotten probation on a first offense and 6 months DV classes. Rihanna could have died but she didn't. She could have had broken nose, jaw, arm but she didn't. She could have spent more than an hour in the emergency room but she didn't.
But that's not really the issue. This isn't even about domestic violence anymore.

I dont like him.
I have a deep love for Rihanna. I've loved her since Pon de Replay, it seems impossible for me to hate her, even if I dont like her music.
I will never forgive him, ever. I still cringe at the pictures. And honestly, if it was your fave you'd feel the same.
I dont hate him, but I will never be able to fully like him like I used to.
As long as he doesnt do something like that again, I'll never hate him, but I still wont ever forgive.

Yes, I am a Rihanna stan so I know that no matter what I say, I will look biased in this situation, but I really am not.
Before "the incident," I was a Chris Brown fan. In fact, he was probably the most played male artist on my iTunes, probably close to or on par with Rihanna's music, actually. Despite being fans of both artists, I never really cared about their relationship; I had no opinion on them dating.
However, once that incident happened, I was done with him. Was it because he beat one of my favorite artists? No. It was because he beat the **** out of someone. It was just coincidental that the person he abused was one of my fave artists. I have no tolerance or forgiveness for someone who not only lays their hands on a woman like that, but also leaves them there, practically for dead to run away in fear. Even more, he went on to ruin his reputation in my eyes even more by making his repeated fake apologies. I've gotten into this recently on here, but it's really hard to articulate when dragging so here goes.
His public apology, which came out 5 months after the incident was completely rehearsed and scripted. I honestly have no clue how anyone who's watched the video can possibly think otherwise. Not only that, but he used extremely well thought out key words throughout the video to downplay what he did by never saying exactly what he did. That is very textbook for an abuser to do. By referring to it as "last February" "what happened" "the incident", etc., he is not fully admitting responsibility because it a very clever, thought out wording that is meant to better the public's perception of him.
Then, he has the nerve to write about Rihanna in one of his songs? Saying he never should of wrote a song for her. And that is supposed to be a remorseful, changed man? Please. He used what happened for publicity and that is not okay. Yeah, people will say a lot of the songs on Rated R reference their relationship. However, I feel Rihanna has the right to do so. She was the victim. Chris Brown has no business using a reference to her, in a negative light, in his music. That shows he has no respect for her, nor is he sorry for what he did. He is sorry he got in trouble for it and that his career is tarnished for it. But he's not sorry he did it.
If Jay-Z hits Beyonce, Russell Brand beats Katy, Nick beats Mariah, etc., I will say the same about them as well. I do not think the public/music industry has been too hard on him. I don't think he's faced enough consequences, to be honest. He is scum in my eyes, and not worth forgiving. He is no different from a glorified murderer, rapist, or molester, and my opinions of him reflect as such.

Complete cosign. I moved on over a year and a half ago but when it first emerged I was truly disgusted.
It's been over two years now. All those who weren't involved should move on especially as Chris and Rih have.

I was a huge fan of both Chris and Rihanna prior the incident and still am a huge fan of both.
Is what he did ok? obviously not
Am I gonna hold grudge and hate him forever for what he did? NO!
And if Rihanna is moving on, why shouldn't her fans too, especially many of the pressed ones here
