I'm trying to think of any reason it wouldn't. Don't live versions still count toward an original song's sales? Maybe I'm making that up.

In the Uk they do but I'm not sure about the US, I can't really think of any examples...

Yeah, live versions & remixes do so I don't see why this wouldn't - it will have the same artist & title afterall.

Its an amazing marketing tool if they do get the live version to count towards the single. It could probably stay another week or two at number 1 if it does
