I didn't like the product placement on the HIAM video but I think it can still fit with the concept.
Personnally, I see the whole video as the timeline of Britney's pop career.
Scene 1: The preparation of the popstar who is going to sell tons of products to the population (record,perfume, make up, dolls).
It can also be a reference to all the stuff she sponsored at the beginning of her career.
The plenty of fish thing is all about quick relations and everything was very fast when she was with Kevin.
The only "gratuitous" product placement is the sony ad.
But still, there's a version available without any product placement so you still have the choice to avoid them.
