Debbie is cute, but faded by her third album. Tell me, where do they do that?

I feel like it was her mom's fault for making her irrelevant. She could been super HUGE. Being Managed by her mom was one of the biggest mistakes ever. OH well. Everything happens for a reason.

I kno but when I think of Original Pop Princess I think of Britney!.. I don't think I've ever even heard a song from Debbie..

She just became so forgotten. She never had longevity in her career which is why in my personal opinion I don't consider her as "the original pop princess" When people think of pop princess they are not going to think Debbie, they going to think Britney, Christina ect.

I consider someone like Madonna as "The original pop princess" a lot of these current pop princesses are influenced by her.

You know what, I agree. I wish this weren't the case, but it's the truth. It's all good though. The true reason I created this thread was to expose her to ATRL.

Debbie is fantastic. Her sugar sweet teen pop is truly irresistible and the purity of her voice is so nice. I think her voice is the "most listenable" out of all the 80s pop girls.

I played up my love of Debbie just a bit, I really do like her and I wish she had had a little bit of longevity. I don't know what went wrong, she had it all. A perfect pop voice? Check. Good looks? Check. (She was/is so damn pretty.)

I didn't really know much about Debbie until like a couple years ago. I watched the American Juniors show, of which she was a judge, when I was a teenager and I decided to investigate her music when I developed a short-lived fascination with rewatching the American Juniors performances and doing "where are they now" research on the finalists. Sidenote: I was sooooo ****ing excited when Julie Dubela popped up on Idol as a totally delusional bitch.

Everything you said about Debbie is so true. She had so much potential.
