What's so great about GaGa's piano skills though? It seems like she takes a page out of Elton John's book and does the same ballady stuff with the keys. At least with Alicia, I have seen her be a bit more diverse with the piano/keyboard ("Heartburn" and "Stolen Moments"). I've seen both cover traditional stuff and done well with it.
I'm not saying Gaga is more impressive than Alicia when she's just doing her own ballads (although I'd still say about comparable), but for instance the clip of Gaga playing Maple Leaf Rag takes more skill than anything I've seen from Alicia. Not saying she couldn't do that necessarily, I just haven't seen it. I don't blame people for voting for Alicia, I just don't think there's a very clear winner in this case.
Her voice sort of hurt my ears in the others, but I ADORED this one. I didn't like how she dodged that note in every chorus, but it was lovely and the harmonies in the bridge were beautiful.
Anyway, I don't know who to vote for, since I don't know enough about either of their piano skills. Alicia has done it for longer and she does it more often, but that doesn't mean anything really (unintended pun).
