Of course nobody expected Lady Gaga to sell well over 4,000,000 in the long run. She opened with such dismal nubers and nobody even knew who she was.
Loud is Rihanna's 5th studio album and Teenage Dream is Katy Perry's 2nd. We know what they are capable of and what they have sold so far. It is highly unlikely that either one of them will end up selling 4,000,000, without a re-release.
Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts managed to sell extremely well in its entire run, from beginning to end. It was already certified Gold in a matter of weeks and already multi-platinum in less than 2 months. It's not comparable to The Fame in any way.

Mumford & Sons are doing so well. They are what you call a slowburn. I wouldn't be surprised if Sigh No More goes on to sell close to two million by the end of the year.

They have some pretty dedicated fans at my school. They buy the album for their friends over and over again.

This! I actually know someone (my friend) who bought this for his mate just yesterday. A lot of people at my school really like Mumford And Sons.
