Katy's record label are so smart. they knew people werent gonna buy E.T when its the 4th single off an album they already have so she put Kanye on it to get the boost in sales and radio airplay. She's playing dirty but I admire it.

Her team is one of the best when it comes to promo.

The smartest part about adding Kanye wasn't just his name - now the song is "new" and it has front-page promo...which 4th singles never get. They have to climb on their own accord via airplay, video, etc.
