I do. I cringe when she sings the "whether life's disabilities..." bit. Regardless, my point was that she went against the norm, not so much that the lyrics were cheesy
Anything on BTW is ten times better than that plastic bag mess.
I haven't gotten chills from this song. But really the only songs of hers that I have gotten chills from are Bad Romance, Poker Face, and Paparazzi.
Maybe that was because of the fact that I was waiting 10 months for a single from the best female artist in pop right now, but I was very, very emotional while listen to BTW.

Aw that's touching.
I hated it on the first listen and thought "Why the **** did I wake up early for this ****?" So I was somewhat emotional but probably in a different way than you were
Yeah, all motivational songs have cheesy parts....but TBH the plastic bag isn't one of them for me.
"You're original, cannot be replaced"
Duhhhh
The song's lyrics are one big cliche after another.
Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Lyrically it stays in a nice safe neutral zone of cliched sayings we've heard numerous times...so it's not jarring or off-putting. It's easy to swallow. That's why I never really had a problem with the lyrics.

Yeah, and I am not looking for meaningful, paradoxical, hard-to-decipher lyrics from every Pop girl. That's why I stan for GaGa.

I even didn't like the lyrics at all, and was expecting something that I would potentially hate. I thought it would be a dark, dark, dark serious-ass song. I am so glad it turned out otherwise.
But to open up a song, comparing human feelings to a dirty ass walmart bag? I can't.
Exactly That's how the kids feel nowadays.
And why every time I visit this thread someone is shading Katy? It's like teh shade is calling me or something. I can't.
