I don't think it's fair to blame JIVE for France changing their rules, that change was made 3 weeks after her single debuted. They had no possibility of even knowing that was going to happen, France made that choice unexpectedly.

Jive is ALWAYS the one to blame. Plus I'm sure they knew something about it, record labels have their ways to know stuff before the public.

But her French fans would not be happy to have had to wait 3 extra weeks to purchase it, just so she could have one #1.

The UK fans could hardly wait a few extra days, even though they dropped the ball on her chart peak there.

I'm sure the REAL fans would rather a better peak than to buy the song earlier.

Jive may **** up sometimes but at least we know Britney is their top priority there.

More of their artists have had it WAYYY worse because they're virtually neglected.
